The hydria was an ancient Greek vessel for fetching water, often painted with illustrations of women carrying it from a fountain. Our Hydria Ring summons that ancient female power in modern form. The hand-carved band features fountain-like curves that depict the hydria’s handled silhouette. Buttressing a bezel-set unheated sapphire with a soft pink color that embodies that of a young rose. On display amidst our satin gold finish, the untreated stone appears just as it did when it came out of the ground.
