Caring for your gemstone jewelry
DeForrest Fine pieces will stand the test of time but do require some care.
Cleaning
To wash your jewelry, start by placing a screen in the sink to avoid losing it if dropped. Use a soft bristled toothbrush, mild dish soap and tepid water to gently scrub your piece. Dry it with a soft, clean cloth.
Storing
When you aren’t wearing your DeForrest Fine piece, it’s best to store it in a soft pouch or a jewelry box.
Considerations
Please refrain from using ultrasonics to clean your DeForrest Fine jewelry, as the process can cause irreparable damage to some stones, particularly opals.
Take care to avoid any hard impact with your gemstones, especially opals, which have a similar hardness to glass.
Before swimming or bathing, we recommend you remove your DeForrest Fine pieces.
